Bluebonnet Sessions 2011

Since it’s my first spring back in Texas, I was not about to miss a chance to capture some images in the beautiful and all too fleeting bluebonnets.  Three weekends brought forth a number of great shots from some of my favorite subjects as well as some new families.  I can’t wait for those blue blooms to come around next spring and will definitely be planning ahead so everyone who wants a chance to pose in the flowers will get one!

Holiday Mini-Sessions 11/6&7/10

I was lucky enough to have beautiful weather for my first ever set of holiday mini-sessions in Dallas.  Not to mention some great families!  Here are some highlights from the weekend.  One of my favorite moments was when little Max, who is almost a year old, was determined to push a box with ornaments in it all over the driveway.  I just let him do his thing and followed with my camera.  Kids are funny.

Maggie & Haley 10/23/10

There’s nothing quite like kids in their natural state.  I headed over on a Saturday morning to capture Maggie and Haley at their home.  Still in nightgowns and hair unkempt, they looked adorable as we ran around the yard on a gray, drizzly day – climbing trees, making up stories and hoping for rain.

Edie & Gray 10/16/10

Sometimes there’s nothing better than having a chance to shoot friends that are really more like family.  Little Edie is a ham so I knew I’d get some fun shots out of her, but I had no idea that at only five months old, Gray would be such a poser.  He didn’t mind the least when we sat him in a bucket for a good twenty minutes.  The only snafu was when I had the bright idea to have Edie pose with the chickens down the street – turns out she was terrified that the rooster would get her.  Then we got the whole family in on the action for a Christmas photo.  Thanks guys for letting me be your photographer as well as a part of your family!
